Robert Addison Rice

Born Pittsfield Mass., 19 March 1850. Eldest child of Amasa Rice and Sarah Dean Hubbard. Three siblings: Martha B. (1860, m. Matthew A. Bozeman, lived in Montana), Henry H. (1862-1872, died age 10), and Mary E. (1864, m. Leon Morgan 1895). Married Corrinthia Julia Dunham (b. 1839) and had four children: Grace Mabel Rice (1875, deceased), Henry Hubbard Rice (1877-1927, named for his deceased uncle and grandmother Hubbard), Charles Leslie Rice (1879-1950, Brant's great-grandfather), and Eliza Fitch Rice (1882, deceased). The 'Addison' middle name confirmed by FamilySearch K4XQ-925; it honors his uncle Addison Rice (b. 1821, d. 1892), Alvan Rice's youngest son. Moved from Pittsfield to La Grange, Cook County Illinois, where he died in 1926.
