Of Bolling Hall and Chellow, Bradford, Yorkshire England. attainted for Lancastrian role at Towton 1461; manor briefly forfeited to Thomas Radclyfe; restored 1475. Married Isabel Thornton bef. 1427. Documented chain from William de Bolling (lord of Bolling Hall 1316) down to Edward Bolling of Bradford (1556-1592) and his son Robert Bolling (1586) the London saddler whose grandson Col. Robert Bolling emigrated to Virginia 1660.
