Born 1728 in Ireland to James Mayes and Jean Esther Rachel. Emigrated to colonial Virginia. Married James Ewing 1740, age 12 (the FamilySearch date — unusual; possibly betrothal date rather than consummated marriage, or a recording error). Five children. Died 27 December 1818 in Strasburg, Shenandoah County, Virginia, age 90.
